Profession - Trade apprenticeship and 20 years experience as an Engineering Patternmaker. Trained as a Teacher - Woodwork and Graphics and taught in secondary schools for 20 years.

He began Chainsaw Carving in the early 1980's and has been full time self employed in chainsaw carving and fine woodworking since 1995.

Kevin has carved professionally in USA at Tupperlake - 1992
Demonstrated in Glasgow, Scotland at the Scottish Woodwork Show - 1996
Demonstrated extensively throughout Australia - Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales, but chiefly in South Australia and Victoria.

KEVIN GILDERS is also represented in the Victorian State Collection with a Burl Bowl - Acquired from Royal Melbourne Show 1978 Award Exhibition
